Animus describes masculine characteristics of a person, either an over abundance or lack of. In this drawing it describes the lean toward it, the allure of it- the ease of it compared to Anima. This is a portrait drawing of my daughter Casey who is a stand in for me as a child. I was raised in Montana in the 70's and was the only ( and youngest) of a mixed family of all boys. I leaned into my Animus often to fit in and compete with my 4 brothers.
