A bright sunny day at the McDonald Falls in Glacier National Park Montana, helped this Plein Air oil painting be created. A little viewpoint from the top of the falls thats hidden down a short steep trail above. Trying to capture that glacial turquoise water in the creek. I started early in the day with the sunlight at a nice angle and of course finished with it brightly overhead, washing the shadows and contrast away.
