Friday afternoon, Figure & Portrait
Friday afternoon
I live in a place where reality is complex and challenging. Sure, here's the translation:
The past year has turned our lives upside down. We haven’t left the house much, which forced me to create within my private space, with my family, my children, and my partner, within four walls. The images created on the canvas came from a desire to stay within the safe family unit, within the cozy home, but outside - a war, terror, danger. This conflict produced portraits of my family members that convey a dim, strange atmosphere, with the figures blending into the background of the home."
