Caminante

Caminante, Drawing
Caminante
This work represents the path that a woman takes after having experienced everything bad and everything good. Stripped of any element that could have tied her to any person or environment, she walks with her head held high, without caring about anything. Maybe she is looking to rewrite her own destiny, maybe she wants to do and live everything she has longed for. Maybe she still has several lives left to live.
The technique used for this drawing highlights the dust of the road, the folds of the fabric, the earth and the wind. Charcoal and ink have been used to do this, seeking to generate different textures through various washes that provoke a certain dynamism and verisimilitude to this work. After each wash, the drawing is reconstructed until reaching the final layer.
"In these latest works my intention is to incorporate very significant elements of my land, Galicia, such as the mountains, the sea, the wind, the fog, the rain, the fire, the magic... And in this way recover that link with my origins."
