Winter Cloudburst
This image was done in late winter/early spring of 2024. I had a lung infection, a strained ligament in my knee, and had just hobbled home after intending to plein air paint at a different spot and completely forgetting my palette. On the drive home I noticed some really epic looking winter clouds rolling in across the valley. I set up on my balcony and managed to paint this in 45 min before the storm hit. It was mostly done wet-on-wet and it's probably one of my favourite paintings, definitely a function of not overthinking things before mother-natures deadline hit.
