Skimmerhorn in Early Autumn

I'm always so fascinated with the forms in our little local mountain, the ever-changing light is always revealing new shapes. This was painted in late afternoon as the light was transitioning into the warm hues of golden hour. I used a bit of informal subdivision to plan out the arrangement of shapes before jumping in to paint.
