This began as a basic study of waterfalls, rocks and light for a future painting, I hadn't planned on developing a true painting. Then, ever so slowly, a variety of ideas took over and I found myself experimenting, especially with color and texture, detail and suggestion. It was a lot of fun and it led me to make time for more plein air painting with local artist friends and on my own.
