A pair of deer make the journey across a snowy mountain landscape with forests of Gold Larch set in the Pacific Northwest. I set out to combine elements of Chinese Brush Painting with a Western adaptation. The pine needles are done in classic Chinese brush strokes. I used techniques of pouring ink over more detailed brushwork letting the colors mix.
