The Shovelmen Portraits -Jerry
This portrait of Jerry is part of a group of 5 16x20" portraits painted and donated to the city as part of a community project, honoring the work in public infrastructure of a local volunteer group known as The Shovelmen. An oil painting on linen panel, I was particularly pleased with the way this portrait captured Jerry, who is known as the jokester of the group. When asked during the color study from life and photo shoot if he could give a soft smile, Jerry answered "What's that?" and flashed this million dollar smile.
