This painting is inspired by beautiful ancient Indian utensils made out of ‘Brass’ metal, which natively translates to ‘Peetal’. This still life indoor painting was created out of a self photographed picture of these old ancestral brass pieces.
A realistic style was employed with use of oil to mimic the original yellow metal sheen and reflectivity. White and grey background enhances the browns, reds, and yellows, which accentuates the focus on the subjects. Alongside, a glass bottle creates contrast, yet retaining the reflection and refraction to balance the whole frame.
