Menton, France Plein Air Sketchbook

After filling half of my watercolor sketchbook during workshops in Giverny, I traveled to the beautiful village of Menton on the French Riviera. After much meandering, I found a shady spot and filmed my painting process on location. The vibrant citrus hues of the buildings were so refreshing, and it struck me how often this charming village is overlooked, even though it’s just minutes away from Italy. When traveling and teaching, I often paint in a sketchbook—allowing me the freedom to teach anywhere and paint almost everywhere.
