Old Vernon, France Mill

This Old Mill in Vernon, France is on the river near Monet's Garden and Giverny. Prior to conducting two workshops in the area I explored the area and found a great spot at a park looking at the scene. My intention was to create a plein air sketchbook painting and minimize the complexity of the scene, creating a vignette crossing the pages. I have dozens of watercolor sketchbooks that capture my travels, lessons, and studies. This is a favorite.
