Still Stirring (At 93)

This is a painting of my grandmother stirring “chicken gravy” in her warm kitchen that smelled like field peas, fresh cornbread, and firewood with a hint of cloroxed dishrags. This is the view we had of her most every time we visited on a Sunday after church.
