Using oil with a medium that combines cold wax, linseed oil, Galkyd and mineral spirits, I emphasized the Mondrian/Diebenkorn qualities I saw in an abandoned beach cottage.
I mention the medium as I learned the recipe from an abstract painter who found it created a beautiful matte effect on the canvas. There is no shine, just color.
