Acrylic on canvas/"A Supplication" describes deep yearning as a universal experience - a plea to God for simple rest in a time of desperation. This is a self-portrait done from a combination of life and photographs I took when I could capture the most expressive morning light after another sleepless night. It is a piece that I conceived over many years and finally captured.
