Vatican City Rain
Generally design by committee results in a compromised and incoherent building. St. Peter’s Basilica is a notable exception. Not literally a committee, but through its 120 years of construction, several architects had a hand in the work. The plan is the work of Bramante, the exquisite dome is designed by Michelangelo, the facade is credited to Carlo Maderno, and the piazza is by Bernini. An all-star cast for sure, and the result is spectacular, especially in the rain.
